Introducing the National Best Practice Framework for Early Childhood Intervention in Canberra

Share Post:
Our Healthy Trajectories Director, Prof Christine Imms, was in Canberra this week contributing to national conversations about the Thriving Kids initiative.

Christine used the opportunities to highlight the key contribution that the new National Best Practice Framework for Early Childhood Intervention can make to the design of Thriving Kids.
She highlighted how investment in the early years for those with developmental concern, delay or disability can help families, children and communities to thrive.

Christine joined two sessions:
  • The first session was hosted by the Mindaroo Foundation and Thrive by Five and focused on key messages to support change to meet the needs of all children and families.
  • The second session was hosted by the Australian Child and Family Support Alliance at Parliament House. It provided a rich opportunity to hear from parents, siblings and young people, who talked about what was important to them, and their hopes for Thriving Kids.
