This tool was developed by participants in the Family Engagement in Research (FER) course in 2023.

This tool is a simulated discussion with researchers and parent partners about their roles in research.  Establishing open communication about parent partner roles is instrumental to a successful partnership.  Whilst this conversation can take many forms, this simulation provides one example of a conversation and emphasises the need to be inclusive, respectful and flexible.
