Early childhood approaches and services in Australia have encountered systemic difficulties which slow the progress of evidence-based, family-centred approaches. Healthy Trajectories aims to address these issues by researching experiences and outcomes of engaging with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and identifying gaps in service delivery for those needing early childhood supports and to inform current policies. We are determined to promote equity by implementing best practices and improving support systems for children with developmental disabilities and their families.
Our Early Childhood Approaches in Australia work has received seed funding from the Melbourne Disability Institute.
The Healthy Trajectories Child and Youth Disability Research Hub acknowledges the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognises the continuing connection to the lands and waterways on which we live, learn and work. We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, and to Elders past, present and emerging.
