Study into young people’s experiences of childhood intervention and support

Share Post:

Are you someone who received therapy or supports in early childhood because of a disability? Are you aged 15 to 30 years?

Your voice matters and we would like to hear from you!

Researchers from the University of Melbourne are leading a review of best practice in early childhood intervention in Australia. The review will result in an early childhood intervention practice framework. This framework will provide information, resources and tools to help early childhood professionals and families ensure all children with developmental concerns, delay or disability have the best possible start in life.

As part of the review, we are doing a study to understand young people’s experiences of interventions (e.g., physiotherapy) and supports (e.g., a teacher aid) when they were children. We would like to know how these therapies and supports may have shaped your journey. Your insights will make a big difference.

Taking part in this research involves an interview of about one hour, at a time and place that suits you, either online or in person.

If you are interested in sharing your experiences of early childhood therapies and supports as part of this important research, you can tell us by filling in this expression of interest form by 16 September or scanning the QR code below.  Places in the study are limited!  If you would like to speak with someone about this study, please contact the team at [email protected], or phone (03) 9345 4579.

Your participation will help us pave the way for best practice early childhood interventions.
