Recruitment Open: Dad-Care: Support for dads, by dads

Dad-Care is looking for participants.

If you are a father of a child with disability (age 0-5 years) in the first two years post diagnosis, please call the number on the flyer or complete the expression of interest form here:

Dad-Care: support for dads, by dads. We all know the importance of physical and mental health and wellbeing, but increased social wellbeing can also be beneficial to us, our families, and our child's development. Finding the right social and systemic supports can be tough, which is what we're aiming to help you with in a series of (up to 3) online or phone conversations (don't worry, we'll work out a way to get a coffee to you to enjoy on us!) In these conversations, you might like to talk to us about how you are going navigating diagnoses, health and support services, funding, family dynamics, and your own health and wellbeing. In the meantime, this can be quite an emotional and challenging time for dads, partners, and family members, and it can be helpful to see your GP or reach out to organisations such as Carer Gateway (1800 422 737) or Advocating for Children with a Disability (ACD) (03 9880 7000 or 1800 654 013 regional). Let's have a chat. Dad-Care is a fully-funded program and there is no cost to you. The program will be evaluated and we will discuss with you what this involves.
